Our 2026 Goals
What we have done and will do before the end of 2026

Since the beginning of 2026, we have been steadily activating the Bioregional movement in our territory. These first months have been sustained entirely by volunteer effort and the shared conviction of our neighbors, though we are currently advancing processes to secure the financing that will support our next stages of growth.
To guide the development of our 10-year vision, we have outlined six working committees. However, out of the six, we are initially activating only three: Cultural Regeneration and Territorial Healing, Regenerative Economy, and Wellness and Health. The remaining three—Food Sovereignty, Ecosystem Restoration, and Education—will be integrated as our foundation strengthens.
Among the events planned for this year, we will first gather for Drum Circles and a Planetary Party in November. We will also start hosting Integration Bingos and other cultural gatherings, all with the objective of integrating the diverse cultural backgrounds that coexist in Vilcabamba.
Other objectives we have established for this year include:
Define the coordinators for the active committees, establish each one’s specific vision, and start mapping the key actors in each area.
Consolidate our Extended Circle (the main WhatsApp group) and encourage more community members to join the conversation.
Launch this website and a monthly newsletter to keep everyone informed about the activities of the Bioregional project.
Continue hosting informative meetings in Vilcabamba and in the surrounding barrios to share the purpose of our work.
Begin the process of activating the notion of Vilcabamba as a genuine wellness destination.
Start developing a Bioregional certification to encourage and recognize regenerative practices among local businesses and brands.
Start activating the entrepreneurship incubator, conducting three pilot experiences with local entrepreneurs.
This work requires patience, deep listening, and steady hands. There is much to build, and we are grateful to be laying the first stones together.
For next year we will continue with these efforts, start to develop the regional currency, take the entrepreneurship incubator to the next level by putting local entrepreneurs in contact with angel investors, and expand the Tumianuma garden project to the rest of Vilcabamba.
